This audio is from the Nov 17 DEC hearing in Binghamton. Each person was allowed three minutes to comment on the SGEIS, fracking and gas drilling in New York. Brian Parker leads the audience in a “mic check” about the dangers of fracking. The connections between the Occupy Movement and the fight to stop fracking were being made throughout the day. This was shown by signs, the rally speeches and the public comments. There were also pro-drillers present who said that they are also the 99% (true too) which exposes the way that the oil and gas industry divides communities and positions neighbors against each other. Living on the shale puts so many resources at risk.
